Christian Haitian Outreach, an orphanage ministry in Haiti, was founded in 1974 by Eleanor Workman to rescue and care for abandoned babies. There are now 134 children at the orphanage; the ministry also sponsors a school and a church on their compound outside Port-au-Prince. Ruthanne has served on the CHO board for more than 20 years. Christ for the Nations, founded by Gordon and Freda Lindsay, is a missions organization with a resident two- or three-year training institute where John Garlock served as an instructor for 23 years. Increase International founded by Floyd and Elizabeth Alves in 1972, has many outreaches, but its main focus is to equip others to pray more effectively, and to briing the good news of life in Christ to the unreached. Two Rivers NATC
was established by Dr. Negiel Bigpond and Dr. Jay Swallow to provide leadership training
for those desiring to help take the Gospel to the hundreds of Native American
groups across the U.S. The dormitory unit is named in memory of John Garlock.
World Ministry fellowship,
founded more than 40 years ago, is an international ordaining body of Spirit-filled
ministers and missionaries seeking fellowship with others in ministry without the
contraints of a denomination. John and Ruthanne Garlock joined WMF in 1987. |
